Are Vel & Wick candles non-toxic?

Our candles are made without phthalates or parabens, with soy wax and cotton wicks. “Non-toxic” is not a blanket safety guarantee; as with any candle, burn in a well-ventilated space and follow the care instructions.

What are your candles made of?

Each candle is made with soy wax, a cotton wick, and a fragrance blend composed for its individual scent profile. They are hand-poured in small batches.

How long will a candle burn?

Burn time varies by vessel size, wick care, and how long you burn it at a time. The 7 oz and 10 oz vessels will not have the same burn duration. For best results, trim the wick before each use and allow an even melt pool to form.

Where are Vel & Wick candles made?

Our candles are hand-poured in small batches in Canada.

What sets them apart from mass-market candles?

We make a small, considered collection rather than an endless catalogue. Every scent has its own layered character, and every vessel is chosen to feel at home long after the last burn.

How should I care for my candle?

Trim the wick before each burn, keep the candle on a stable heat-resistant surface, and never leave a lit candle unattended. Stop use when a small amount of wax remains at the bottom.
